Preorders: Many upcoming releases that are available for preorder will be listed on this page. Listed for each item will be a brief description along with a manufacturer part number. An expected in stock date will also be listed, but remember that this date is only an estimate. There is no way to guarantee delivery dates on any future releases. If you would like to preorder any item listed, send your request by e-mail to info@ksisales.com with the header "Preorder". The body of your e-mail should list the quantity and manufacturer part number of the items you are preordering.Once the preordered item arrives in stock, an invoice will be sent to the preorder customer requesting payment for the preordered item or items. This way, we do not keep any of your payment information as we will request payment seperately once the item has arrived. If you know of a manufacturer's release announcement that is not listed here, contact me with the information...I can probably still preorder that item for you.

Once you have completed a Preorder:

  • You will receive e-mail updates on the status of your preorder when information is available. Once the item is listed as available from the distributor, you will be advised that you should be receiving an invoice shortly.
  • Preorders may be cancelled with some notice, but please remember that once you have received an invoice you will be expected to complete the purchase.
  • Once you receive your PayPal invoice for your preorder, you will be asked to complete payment within 7 days. As soon as payment is received, your item will ship on the following business day (Mon-Fri). If payment is not received within 7 days, your preorder will be cancelled and the item will be placed in store inventory for regular sale. All preorders will be filled in the order they are received, and all preorders will be filled before any of the particular item will be placed in regular inventory.

Benefits of Preordering new items:

  • Reserving new releases guarantees that you will receive your item as soon as they become available and before any are placed in stock for regular sale. In the current Model Railroad marketplace of limited quantities and short releases, preordering an item may be the only way to add it to your collection.
  • Preorders of over $100 come with free regular US shipping. Insured/Express/International shipping is offered on preorders at discounted rates.

Remember that Preorders and the expected arrival dates are offered based on information provided by the manufacturer. These dates and product availibility are not guarantees and are subject to delays and cancellations by the manufacturers that are beyond my control. Athearn N Scale Preorder Items

Kato N Scale Preorder Items

New information as of November 2006! For specific details on current Kato model release information, visit www.katousa.com. To preorder Kato items, please send your requests as soon as the release is announced. Kato's new procedure for releasing new models has a very short order lead time, and quantities are extremely limited. In some cases, these new releases are sold out within a week of the release announcement.

Atlas N Scale Future Releases

Intermountain N Scale Future Releases

All of Intermountain's upcoming Locomotive and Rolling Stock releases are listed with retail pricing. These items may be preordered from me, and the sales pricing for all Intermountain products will be 25% below the listed retail pricing. These items should be preordered as soon as possible after their announcement to insure that they will be received...preorders received more than 3 months after announcement of a model cannot be guaranteed that the model will not already be sold out by the distributor. For any upcoming releases or manufacturers not listed here, send me an e-mail with details and I will check to see if I can get it for you. Also, if you need HO Scale items, feel free to send your request as I can get many of these items as well. HO Scale manufacturers carried include Athearn, Atlas, Bachmann, Bowser/Stewart Hobbies, Broadway Limited/Precision Craft, Intermountain, Kato, and many others.
